HEC Paris offers seven distinct specialisations that allow students to refine their expertise in the final months of the programme.
- Entrepreneurship
- This track is for those who wonder "Can I be an entrepreneur?" and provides three months of training where students act as CEOs for real lab technologies. Based in a major high-tech hub, students work in teams to turn scientific inventions into business propositions.
- Finance
- This specialisation focuses on three pillars: financing (getting money for ideas), investors (understanding risk and return) and hedging (reducing risk for managers). It is ideal for students coming from non-financial backgrounds who want a global perspective on money flows.
- Advanced Management (Management and Organisations)
- A holistic, empathy-driven approach to leadership. It focuses on team dynamics, organisational change and interpersonal soft skills. A highlight is a customised tour of Versailles to study how power, culture and structure intersect.
- Strategic Marketing
- Focused on the "consumer journey", this track bridges the gap between strategy and execution. Students learn technical tools like coding in R and Big Data management alongside high-level branding and social media strategy.
- Strategy
- This track trains students as "integrators" of business solutions. It focuses on sustainable growth and avoiding decision-making biases, using case studies to explore mergers, acquisitions and Game Theory.
- Digital Innovation
- This specialisation prepares future leaders to be tech-fluent, covering artificial intelligence, cryptography and automation. It addresses how digital transformation is fundamentally changing business operations.
- Sustainability
- Recognising the "sustainability imperative", this track explores how to build long-term strategies, sustainable supply chains and business models that respect environmental limits like fresh water and arable land.
